The San Juan Islands seem to have been made to induce relaxation. Comprising over 170 islands, the archipelago is a picturesque landscape of rugged coastlines, lush forests, and rolling hills with a diverse wildlife, including orca whales, seals, and countless bird species. The islands have a rich cultural heritage steeped in the traditions of local salmon, crab and spot prawn fisheries as well as nurturing a bountiful community of artists and makers.

  • Wednesday - Arrive at the lodging on Lummi Island anytime between 5pm and 7pm to check into your room and enjoy our Welcome Happy Hour. Dinner will begin around 7:30pm

Thursday - After breakfast we will get picked up on the beach to head out on the water to do some crabbing! We will pull and re-set pots then spend a couple hours on the remote Sucia Island for a picnic lunch and some free time to hike, beach comb or just relax. We will then pull more pots before taking our haul back to Lummi. After a bit of downtime we will gather on the beach for a crab boil dinner. Relax the rest of the evening. Play games. Star gaze in the hot tub.

Friday- After breakfast we will head out on a guided kayaking excursion around Lummi Island where we will learn how to sustainably forage for local seaweed along the way. We will stop at a secluded beach for an indulgent picnic where we will enjoy some dishes prepared with our wild harvest. On our way back to shore we will visit the Reef Net boats on Legoe Bay to learn about their sustainable salmon fishery. Back on shore we will have some downtime (hot tub anyone?) before gathering in the garden for a salmon dinner cooked over a fire.

Saturday- After breakfast we are heading to Full Bloom Farm for a workshop on curing and smoking salmon then having a light lunch in their apple orchard! We will also get to tour their oyster operation before having an oyster & bubbles happy hour on the beach. After some relaxing, sunbathing or beach-combing we'll head back to the house for dinner in the garden.

Sunday- On our last day we are going all out and getting picked up on the beach by a seaplane which will take us for an arial tour of the San Juan islands. We will land on Orcas Island where we will spend the day tasting our way through the island. More details to come! We will head home by boat stopping on Clark Island for a swim and sunset picnic. Back on Lummi Island we'll have the evening to nightcap, relax, play games or stargaze in the hot tub.

Monday- Enjoy a slow and easy morning filled with coffee and a decadent breakfast before we say our goodbyes. Move at your own pace. Check out is 11am.
