Stephanie Eburah
Stephanie is a Seattle-based chef and photographer. After working for 16 years in the Bay Area, she moved to Seattle and started hosting pop-up suppers and freelancing as a food photographer. In 2020 she opened Ebb & Company, a little natural wine bar and gathering space in Ravenna. Ebb & Co has become a sought-after natural wine club and event company, hosting collaborative community dinners with winemakers, farmers, fisherman and makers from all over the PNW. Stephanie splits time at her home on Lummi Island where she hosts dinners and culinary retreats focused on what grows on the land and lives in the sea. In 2024 she took her retreats abroad where she co-hosts small groups on thoughtful multi-day food & craft journeys in Europe.
Ashley Morford-Haines
Born in Michigan, Ashley has lived in Seattle for the past eleven years. After training at The Culinary Institute of America in New York and working around the world for over twenty years - including several years at Chez Panisse in Berkeley, CA, Ashley launched her adventure dining and travel business, Windward Adventures in 2021. Celebrating the bounty of Washington State, Windward Adventures became a beacon for fun food adventures with her local community. Partnering with Stephanie in order to expand the geography and depth of offerings was a natural next step. Ashley brings her favorite parts of the culinary experience to the PNW and believes that creating lasting memories is the sweetest part of life.
How we met
People love to say, “Don’t go into business with your friends.” In our case, we didn’t. Not at first. We met professionally, long before either of us realized we were quietly working towards the same career path on opposite sides of town.
For years, customers, vendors, and mutual friends kept asking if we knew each other—or insisting that we should. Apparently our reputations were colliding long before we did. Then in 2022, Ashley applied for a seasonal job at Stephanie’s wine shop, Ebb & Co. We finally got to work together.
From day one, it was clear we shared the same instincts: what tastes good, what looks good, what matters, and what absolutely does not. Our sensibilities just matched. Even after Ashley’s seasonal job ended, we kept finding excuses to work together. Our events overlapped, our ideas overlapped, and our calendars often did too. If one of us was hosting, the other usually appeared—sometimes as a guest or sometimes because extra hands were needed.
By mid-2025, it felt slightly ridiculous to keep operating as two separate entities when we were essentially building the same thing, just in parallel. So we stopped pretending it was a coincidence and formed a new concept—and a new LLC—this time, on purpose, as partners. And, as it turns out, as friends.
