Chef-led tours exploring the bounty of the Seattle market - it’s seafood, it’s parks, and the Salish Sea
What makes our tour different?
Cut through the chaotic rumblings of the waterfront. Are you looking for a more meaningful day exploring the maritime history and culture of the PNW? This is the Pike Place we’ll show you. Guided by two award-winning chefs who have spent years cooking with, learning from, and laughing alongside the vendors who shape Seattle’s food culture, you’ll step into a world rarely seen by visitors.
We move throughout the waterfront greeting old friends: the fishmonger who saves the best cuts for us, the farmer who sets aside the season’s first harvest, the forager who arrives with something wild and fleeting. At each stop, you’ll taste ingredients chosen not because they’re trendy, but because they’re extraordinary — the kind of treasures that only reveal themselves when you know where to look, and who to ask.
The experience unfolds slowly, beautifully, like a story being told through flavor. And when the Market chapter closes, another begins: a gentle ride along the waterfront to a sculpture park, or a quiet sail across the Sound, letting the city fall away as the day settles in.
It’s not a food tour. It’s a day inside Seattle’s culinary heartbeat — curated with care, shaped by relationships, and crafted for those who appreciate something truly special.
Fees for the tour:
$900 flat rate for up to six people for four hours
This includes your Tiderun host, all tastings and purchases for the meal prepared by the Tiderun chefs, many different menu options and location options, beverages
+ $90/pp for sailing cruise around the Salish Sea with Tiderun curated boat snacks and beverages
Who is this tour designed for?
This tour is most popular with food-focused travelers who understand that our perspective is different from the classic speaker-phoned tour service. We dive into the nuances of marine ecology/biology, product selection, and the gastronomic history of Seattle and the PNW. We hand-select food from the market, as well as other purveyors across the region, and bring them straight to you. This is perfect for someone with a tight timeline for their stay.
We are an ideal option for businesses or corporations looking to host visiting clients, international tourists, and state and regional tourism boards.
This tour can be completely tailored to your groups needs.
We offer other tours throughout the region.
While the Seattle and Puget Sound waterfront is the most popular option, we offer many other optional tours for your team. Wine country? Oyster farms? Tulip fields? Heirloom grain growers? We can tailor something to you. We can arrange group transportation. Let us know what you’d like to do and we’ll make it happen.
