Come join us in a beautiful rooftop greenhouse overlooking the city for an evening dedicated to Lambrusco—the sparkling red wine you’re about to fall in love with (if you haven’t already).
Sommelier Janet Beeby will guide us through Lambrusco’s story—from how it’s made to the many styles that make it so unique. We’ll sip and eat our way through the flavors of Emilia-Romagna, the region where this wine was born. Starting with mortadella with pistachio pesto, Parmigiano-Reggiano with aged balsamico, and gnocco fritto with Prosciutto di Parma. Then we’ll dig into Erbazzone, a savory pie filled with local greens, with a bright treviso salad, and wrap things up with Torta Barozzi paired with a dessert Lambrusco—just in time to watch the sun set over Seattle.
This is the perfect opportunity to go deep into the rich culinary traditions of Italy’s heartland and we can’t wait to share it all with you!
Janet Beeby is a wine educator and a certified sommelier. She’s crazy about wine, about food, and about pairing wine with food. She believes that wine doesn’t have to break the bank to be thoroughly enjoyable. She enjoys writing and teaching about unusual wines and far-flung winemakers, and she’s on a mission to show people how fun and approachable wine can be. Janet is certified through the Court of Master Sommeliers and the Wine and Spirit Education Trust. She is also a French and Spanish wine scholar, certified through the Wine Scholar Guild.
*The location for the event is located in Phinney Ridge at 7009 Greenwood Ave N in Seattle. Tickets include food, wine & gratuity and are non refundable. If you are unable to attend, you can transfer the tickets to someone else. In the event there is a wait list and we are able to fill your seat, we will gladly issue a refund.
